Pounce & Rascal
These two little guys are everything that a pair of kittens should be. They are healthy, curious, playful, loving, smart and charming. They are special needs kittens. Whether a genetic accident or their mom's exposure to infection during pregnancy, these boys were born with malformed joints at their front paws and in their tails. But don't think that stops them from being sweet and sassy kittens! They are completely litter pan trained, and immaculately groom themselves and each other. They are truly perfect in every way. They must be placed together with someone who will truly appreciate how special they are.
The kittens are 6 months old, and have been neutered, vaccinated and are ready for adoption. Pounce is a sleek, black short-hair with a tiny white locket of hair on his chest; Rascal is a silky grey tabby tiger with white paws and face. Special boys for a special someone.

Skeeter
Say "Hi" to Skeeter! This handsome Chocolate Lab mix is as gentle as a dog can be. Skeeter was rescued from a kill facility where he was housed after being removed from a private home where he was constantly under attack from other dogs; the scar tissue on Skeeter's ears attest to his abuse and confirm his gentle ways.
Skeeter is comedic, sometimes silly, always with a sparkle in his eyes. He adores playtime in the yard, loves chewy Kong type toys and big nylabones, and he loves his blankie. Skeeter ambles along, sometimes with a slow lope a bit like a rocking horse. He is always interested in whatever his people find interesting, and despite his larger size, easily fits in anywhere. Skeeter has happy brown eyes and a coat the color of hot fudge over a chocolate brownie -- and he's just as sweet. Skeeter is a very special boy for a special person.

Anderson
"Let's play!" Okay...how about, let me untie your shoelaces?" "Never mind, let's just hug." That's Anderson...found in Peoria and brought to FOS by a Shelter supporter. Anderson is a quiet boy in a crowd, but is enthusiastic in one-on-one play with people. His favorite toy is a flexible stick with feathers at the end. But, his favorite activity is hugging a human. A real love connection, make this gray tiger and white short-hair yours.

Kalana
Talk, talk, talk! This girl has the gift of gab. Kalana was found abandoned outside the Shelter door. Fortunately, despite her scary situation, Kalana kept it all together, and quickly introduced herself to volunteers. This girl sports a stunning dilute tortie/tabby coat that shimmers in the sunshine. Personable and participatory, Kalana loves to make an announcement whenever people visit her room. She's the first to the door, and, after a greeting, will continue to engage visitors in conversation. And who could not respond. Stop in and say "Hello" to Kalana, a very special girl.

Okemah
Named after folk singer, Woody Guthrie's birthplace in Oklahoma, Okemah has the charm and insightful eyes of felines depicted in American Folk Art. Her sleek grey tiger coat with white splashes are the perfect inspiration for the artist. Quiet but not shy, Okemah has an unusual white stripe on her face that draws the viewer to her -- but it is her eyes that perceive so much, and offer much in return. Okemah adores sunny windows and gentle voices.

Amber
Warm in every way, Amber, a brown tiger short-hair, is generous in spirit, joyous and definitely a "people-cat." Found wandering in a volunteer's yard, she quickly offered a friendly purr, grateful for a full plate and a kind word. Amber tends to the quiet side with other felines, but is a willing playmate with people. Content with life, as long as it includes the love of special people, Amber can be your special companion.

Dashiell
Named after the author of enduring detective novels and in the style of Hammett's famous private detectives, this black and white short-hair, Dashiell, loves the hunt -- for treats, for toys, for "clues." Whether he is inspecting the inside of a brown paper bag, testing the strength of a scratching pole, or sniffing out information at an open window, for Dashiell, it is all interesting and fun. Dashiell continues to look for a likely suspect to make his own. Adopt Dashiell and write the happy ending to this story.
