Pledge Books: The Shelter relies on monthly pledges to pay vet bills, purchase pet food, a myriad of supplies, vaccines, wormers, flea/tick control products and other expenses directly related to Shelter animals. Like any organization -- whether a household or a nonprofit like Friends of Strays -- regular income is essential for budgeting expenses. Monthly, tax-deductible pledges in any amount, are very important. Click here for more information about Friends Of Strays pledge books.
Good Search: Even if you spend only a small amount of time on your computer, setting your home page to Good Search can help the Shelter earn money with every internet search you make. It's easy and efficient and FREE! Click here to find out how to set up your computer to benefit the Shelter animals.
Pets & Planet: Drop off used printer cartridges, aluminum cans and discarded cell phones at Friends Of Strays. It is a great way to protect the environment and support pet rescue and rehabilitation. The Shelter receives cash for all of these recyclables, and recycles the aluminum cat food cans used every day at the Shelter.
Matching Funds: Many employers -- local, national and international companies -- will match or multiply employee donations. When you make a monetary donation to the Shelter, please check with your Human Resources department to inquire about your employer's policy of matching funds. We have compiled a list of companies that do provide matching funds, however, this information may not include some companies who have recently added this benefit for their employees. Click here to see a list of companies that provide matching funds donations.
Matching Funds for Volunteer Hours: Some employers will make a monetary donation to the Shelter equal to the number of volunteer hours their employees serve at Friends of Strays. Please check with your employer to verify if this is one of your employee benefits.
Estate Planning: When planning your estate, please consider including the future of Friends Of Strays, Inc., a 501(c)(3) charity, as part of your legacy. Inquiries may be directed to Bonnie Doty, Friends Of Strays, Inc., Box 315, Princeton, Illinois, 61356
