Heartworm Disease refers to a dangerous condition of adult heartworms located in the animal's heart. Dogs with Heartworm Disease may have symptoms like a chronic soft cough, shortness of breath or congestive heart failure. In the early stages, like with Heartworm Infection, the dog may not have symptoms. Even one heartworm in a cat may be fatal.

Visit us at PetSmart and meet our amazing dogs and cats! Our cats and kittens will be in the store from February 15th, to February 21st. Friends of Strays cats and kittens are all current on vaccinations and have been tested for Feline Leukemia and FIV.

Meet our dogs on February 20th and 21st. Friends of Strays puppies and dogs have tested negative for heartworm, are on heartworm preventative and are current on vaccinations. All FOS pets are spayed/neutered and are micro-chipped.
